There are enough sad songs in the world to bring you to your knees, and enough cheesy songs make you forget about it; Will Allen writes songs that help you face it.

 

He’s is a Plymouth-based, indie-pop singer-songwriter writing honest songs that are a therapy unto himself and an inspiration to others. Often compared to the likes of Ed Sheeran and James Bay; Will’s tunes will get stuck in your head and make you dance in the rain.

Growing up in church, music has always been a part of his life, and always been a tool to inspire hope. He started writing songs at 14 to help him get through life, and started gigging and recording at uni to share his stories with anyone who’d listen.

Lockdown hit which gave him the chance to home record his debut EP, Dreamer, which attracted local radio and social media attention. Covid continued to make life difficult, which inspired his latest EP, A Great Calm. 2 of the tracks have been released so far (Are You Ready? and Screen Revolution) which have both featured on Bristol’s BBC Upload and caught the attention of online blogs like Music Crowns and XRythms.

Over the years Will has built a large online following (racking up tens of thousands of streams across his social media and platforms). Pubs, venues, and festivals have opened their arms to Will as he shares his uplifting songs across the South West of the UK. In the next few months, Will is set to make a big impact across the South West and beyond as drops his latest EP, A Great Calm.
